January 15, 2010 at 6:37 AMAh, sorry. What I meant is that I've only ever heard the term "OS image" from people working in the industry. I know of people who back up their data, but don't know anyone outside of work who "reimages".

January 15, 2010 at 6:15 AMYeah, this page is intended for people who already know Chinese : ) I learned about it when I had a coworker translate some slides for a talk I gave in Beijing from English to Chinese.
It's amazing how difficult it is to keep track of technology terms. Most Chinese at work just use English terms in Chinese conversations.
I suggest you use one of the many Pinyinizer programs to transcribe this from Hanzi to Pinyin.

January 16, 2010 at 6:22 AMThe source is unfortunately vendor specific. MS built that database by looking at documentation for every product and comparing translations. Since we don't sell Tivoli or Apple products we don't have documentation.
