December 17, 2008 at 7:08 PMlol, ken's messing up the tones was very encouraging for the rest of us -- seriously -- if he's still learning, then it's ok for us too... i'm just glad the tone police operates only locally at CPod.

December 16, 2008 at 7:16 PMthanks for another great lesson!
1. 努力 still has incorrect tones on the pdf
2. could sb offer some guidelines for using 的 versus 得 in constructions such as 我电脑用得不太好..?
3. ken is the man. and we all know who the woman is :)

December 15, 2008 at 10:15 PMhi, could we please have a breakdown of "marry" for men vs. women -- what words are used in chinese? e.g. we had 结婚 in an earlier lesson.
thank you!

December 11, 2008 at 7:03 PMhehe, i have a feeling CP is trying to be extra PC. we had a lesson on men's 肌肉 being 发达, now this gem of men-shopping.. oh, and who got the losing end in the yang jie's diary series - they guy, of course :) don't get me wrong, i love it! but will the guys ever get a podcast discussing a female figure? or are we objectifying boys only here? light487 above would probably agree.

December 4, 2008 at 7:13 PMspeaking of measure words: the lesson uses 个 for 颜色 but the dictionary says 种 。。。 what's up with that? :)
also, as i suggested elsewhere, i think measure words should be put in parentheses in the pdfs' vocab with nouns.. that would help all of us.

November 30, 2008 at 8:15 PMby the way, it seems the expression 一直 can also be combined with 都 for emphasis, along the same lines.

December 17, 2008 at 7:31 PMlujiaojie, thank you!
however, i'm still unclear how that differs from the use of 的。 in a previous lesson we had:
你说的不对。
the logic you described above would seem to apply here too.
