March 30, 2009 at 6:08 PMpete, changye, thanks for quick answers!
to follow up on 再: is it always used with verbs to indicate 'more'? (which, when translated into english, is used with nouns - 'more napkins' e.g.)
also, when 再 means 'again', what's the difference in usage with 又?

March 29, 2009 at 6:31 PM大家好,
a few questions regarding the sentence "再拿点餐巾纸过来。“
1) what role do 再 and 点 serve here?
2) is it typical for 过来 to be used as a particle 'over' in conjunction with some verb as opposed to a verb in its own right ('come over')?
多谢啊!

April 7, 2009 at 3:38 PMthanks guys!! i guess the very definition of the two is different (though overlapping): 'circa' is not the same as 'almost' in that circa can mean 'more or less' whereas almost always means 'a bit less'..
also, seems like 左右 is placed after the object (number) whereas 差不多 is placed in front (of number, adj, verb...)
