April 20, 2008 at 8:33 AMWhen I ordered "sala" for the first time in Yangshuo I got a fatty mixture of leaves + horsemeat + mayonaise + sugar. That was also the last time. Hi Ken, if you leave all the "Aaahhhh' s" out of your presentation it would heal your throat more rappidly. Bests, (I am a medic !)

March 13, 2008 at 10:13 PMA "dutch treat" is commonly NOT very nice. These expressions (other example: "double dutch" )date from the period of the Anglo/ Dutch wars in he second half of the seventeenth century. Nothing dutch people did was pleasant to the Britisch. In 1666 - disaster year - the great fire of London, the plaque and the dutch entering the Medway, and hijacking the Britisch flagship the Royal Charles. (still in the Scheepvaartmuseum in Amsgterdam) Sorry, nothing to do with Chinese-pod which I daily enjoy.

October 31, 2007 at 6:41 AMDutch people are a bit too "nuchter" to share in those US party's. Basic schools promote the habits, but parents are not too enthusiatic yet, and kids are easily scared. With Santa and X-mas and St Maarten(nov 11th) there are feasts enough. Good lesson anyway. You'r getting better. Keep up the high standard. I promote CP everywhere !
