December 8, 2011 at 11:31 PMStill no answer; can anyone clarify the use of 底线 and 超过 in this sentence, and whether the translation should be different, and if so, how? Assuming that the sentence is logical in Chinese, I would propose translating it as " One hundred thousand is the highest price we can accept. We won't consider anything above that." I assume that the speaker is the buyer.

December 8, 2011 at 10:19 PMI just went through the grammar section, and the first sentence of the last part did not play. All others seemed okay.
一篇好文章内容是主要的,形式还在其次。

November 28, 2011 at 2:07 AMI have a question about an expansion sentence. Why in the sentence is 超过 (chāoguò) used, if it means “exceeding”? The speaker seems to be the seller. Wouldn’t 超过十万 mean more than 100,000, but according to the translation the speaker is saying she will not consider an offer of less than 100,000?
十万是我们可以接受的价格底线,超过十万我们就不考虑了。
(One hundred thousand is the lowest price we can accept. We won't consider anything below that.)

August 21, 2011 at 7:25 PMre: 我的字写得很赖,Yes, it's referring to poor handwriting, not poor composition. And yes, the plural is implied. The speaker is not saying he wrote one character poorly, but that he writes all characters poorly.

December 9, 2011 at 1:45 PM好像我记得有一次她也说过连上海人内,有的人小看浦东。 说了跟纽约人贬低New Jersey 一样。 (说过 “浦 Jersey”) ;)
很有意思。 听中文播客主人的意见和经验让我学中文的比较快,而且娱乐。
