yeah there is a proper way, but many locals don't use it. i'm adept at using the 'standard' method, but am mystified as to how my girlfriend, and millions of others seem to use them. the standard method requires separation of the chopsticks between thumb and forefinger, but many locals tend not to separate them, and instead keep them together.
in order to accomplish this act of digitry magic a subtle change in the position of the forefinger,middle and ring finger is required to complete the task, whereas the standard method reqires no further change or manipulation of the fingers.
with the standard method the forefonger plays the major role in the movement of the upper chopstick, whereas the more common local method the upper chopstick is manipulated by the changes in position of three fingers, a kind of elegant digital gymnastics that is fascinating to watch.

March 26, 2009 at 10:09 AM我爸从来迷上钓鱼，每周跟着朋友们一起去，我小的时候也常常跟着他们去。说实话，我总是怀疑他去钓鱼原因可能是他用的借口为逃离我妈的唠叨。
有一次就有他跟我一起去，那天我们俩早起来准备小渔船然后上海迎接太阳起来。达尔文海港非常危险，除了鳄鱼和鲨鱼意外，达尔文雨季天气绝对是不可靠的，会一下子变得很坏，要是发生这类条件，就要导致海港变成像疯狂的恐龙一样恐怖。
到了中午我们已经钓到了4条barramundi，所以使我们感到很开心，也不用说它们4条胖胖的鱼使我们感到有一点骄傲。我爸喝了一瓶啤酒为庆祝，当时从北方刮起来很大的风，我转身往那边看一下，北方的天空都变黑了，我爸说马上回家去，但是我们家在海港的对面，离我们那5公里，我自己觉得肯定来不及，所以建议我爸我们更好要躲在一条小河留下来等着海港冷静点才回家去。 我爸说应该来得及，没问题，可是我还不服了，担心我们俩那天在达尔文海港里要死了。
海港的海浪又高又动得快，到了半路又变得更高更快，我爸说不得不忘港口走然后往码头走为免得小船倒进海里，他说顺着海浪是我们唯一的办法，不能在那么高的海浪上横纵过海港，无法直接的走。
到了港口的时候我们的小渔船的的椅子已经破坏了，真恐怖，我倒是不让我爸看到我害怕的感觉，我们俩一口也不说出来。最危险的是我们还必须转船，幸亏我爸对船有一点经验，要不我们俩就完蛋。转船后我们俩才又开口，从他眼睛我可认了危险没有了，我们俩那天才不当鳄鱼的晚餐。
到了家以后，我爸头一次让了我喝一瓶啤酒。
