January 19, 2009 at 8:56 AMmy future wife does exactly the same as Hennings: using 成语 like crazy. I'm quite to read Pete here, because I wouldn't get the impression that they die out, when I listen to her. And amazingly, for every 成语, she knows the background story.

January 17, 2009 at 8:37 PMI took red bean paste in my hand luggage. Gave a bad time to the security officer, luckily, it was enough time, so I could check in my hand luggage as regular luggage. Would have been a pity for the 5kg I bought :)

December 17, 2008 at 4:01 PMHi,
i experimented a bit, and indeed, the content fits into 40 seconds (including the chinesepod starter)
As I like the idea of having a radical show I suggest, having the newbie vocab in the following animated form
- character writing + pronunciation,
- translation (and/or picture of the object)
- the very interesting morph from "learning at school" to "actual handwriting"
This would maybe not be funny, but useful.

October 1, 2008 at 8:42 PMat least today, the exercises are broken. Another question: Where does the transcript come from? Lesson and dialog seem to differ quite substantially?!

I second and agree, as there are now even external tools to acchieve a decent flashcard functionality (like WLCP), cpod, please, adopt this and make them more useful.

Goethe okay, Shakespeare, okay, but the Bible does not belong in my quoting repertoire. :)
The difference is also that neither of them has such short quotes ;-)
