”你讲不讲理” sounds like “你讲讲理”。 I cannot hear the 不。is this a common omission?

Yes I'm also wondering about 我不在乎。I've always though of that as "I don't care". Seems to be similar to 我不在意 perhaps with more attitude?

Great lesson! Not all of us start learning classically though. How would I say "I play by ear?" How about "improvise on the chords"?
