August 27, 2018 at 12:07 AMIs there any chance I can have my old teacher back? She is terrific, and knows how to motivate me. She teaches to my learning curve (old lady without anyone on whom to practice) and style. She was an inspiration for me to study. She was my teacher for more than a year. She helped me so much that I paid for 2 lessons/week instead of one as I had done in the past with other teachers.

August 24, 2018 at 7:58 PMThis is from yet another long-time subscriber. Thank you for another great lesson. I love that your new lessons are all videos. It really helps to see how you hold your mouth when you speak. I also love the way you go over vocabulary and grammar. And, the intro to this lesson was a delightful challenge. I listened to it many times.
Also, I notice that you are now offering lessons with teachers. I used to have lessons with a fantastic CP teacher. She taught me well and, since I had lessons with her every week, even gave me homework to help me learn the vocabulary and cement it in my lǎo nián rén brain . Is it possible for me to be able to sign up with her again for more lessons?? I learned so much with her. Both of us love studying grammar. A rare combination! Jane

August 7, 2018 at 8:58 PMIt was an excellent lesson. And, I am a retired language teacher (French and English), so I can appreciate good lessons well taught. Thank you again.

August 6, 2018 at 11:58 PMNice lesson, thanks! It was extremely well done and balanced. Love the grammar explanations! That really helps! I won't misuse "ba" again. The pictures (like emergency room) helped me learn the vocabulary. The interaction between you two is perfect. You hit a really good balance of English and Mandarin. My only criticism of the lesson is that the occasional abrupt change of camera angle was disconcerting. Please just stick to directly-forward camera. And, please keep these great lessons coming.

June 21, 2018 at 8:23 PMI have subscribed to Chinesepod for many years now and hope to continue for many years to come. It is wonderful to have a new Intermediate lesson again! Being a mother (and grandmother) myself, I really like the mother-daughter duo. You two work well together. I love having the dialogue printed on the screen. That really helps. And, I like that you went over the tough vocabulary at the end. Nicely done. Suggestions: As everyone else said, please only one camera angle. It was kind of disconcerting when Grace was looking elsewhere. Also, I agree that there should be more Mandarin in the banter (translated, of course). Question: when are you going to offer private one-on-one lessons with a teacher again? I am an old lady (retired language teacher) who is learning Mandarin to keep my brain active. Without a teacher, I tend to let days slip by without studying,. Plus, the weekly interaction with a native speaker is so important when I have no one on whom to practice my skills..

December 23, 2016 at 8:21 PMFun lesson, thanks. I love the way you show the dialogue in the video. It really helps. Hope you have many more video Intermediate lessons on the future. It also helps a lot to see the position of Fiona's mouth as she speaks. Helps with my pronunciation. Thanks.
