他工作很主动。（不可以说：他工作很自发。）
我们处于主动地位。（不可以用”自发“）
”自发“常用的搭配是”自发势力“，”自发组织“，主语不是个人，是好几个人，是集体。

March 23, 2011 at 3:03 AM1. 谈恋爱 is a verb+object phrase.
商 and 量 are both verbs. verb+object word is seperable, for example, 睡觉，洗澡，吃饭，见面。
2. 你们已经谈那么久恋爱了 is OK.
I think "V+le+period of time+le"is more common to indicates "the action started in the past, but has still continued on to the present".

或者：
