Posted on: Noodles without Cilantro
June 8, 2007 at 2:54 AMThese's Chinese Cilantro which is eligible and then there's the Western cilantro which is primarly a garnish plate decoration and not meant to be eaten. Chinese cilantro, or parsley is delicious and great when placed in winter [mothball] soup, and also in zhu [rice gruel[. I love Chinese Cilantro, especially when eaten with Chinese boiled Chicken, or Soy Sauce Chicken meat.

June 3, 2007 at 2:50 AM星巴克 - Starbucks. Something to ponder. All of the nice fancy Starbuck coffee mugs that are sold in Canada/States, are made in China. So, one would think that they are cheaper at the 星巴克 Coffee shop in China, right? Well, you would be wrong. The Starbuck mugs sold in China are just as expensive or more so, as what you would find in the Canada & the States. So, if you see a generic 星巴克 Starbucks coffee mug, save your money and get it back home. However, if you want the individualized Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou Starbuck mugs, etc., on them, like the one's you see in your city. Then, you might want to spend your rmb $100.00 on those mugs.

June 2, 2007 at 5:46 PMThese comments above have nothing to do with the Advanced lesson - "西藏“淘金”. [Tibet...ah remember people, Tibet has always been a part of China]. Looks like when the conversion was done, that the tech placed these beginners comments in the wrong place.

June 10, 2007 at 12:52 AM新天地? Two years ago, I went to 新天地, but I didn't think it was anything all that special. It's only a few blocks long/wide. And it's all "so" commerical with expensive shops. A few Western clothing shops, furniture, a few restaurants. etc,. And unless you're rich, most of the locals spent their time at the 星巴克 - Starbucks, nursing their coffee all while looking at all strange tourist that happen to stroll by. Now, if you want to see something special, go to Edmonton, Alberta in Canada and visit the West Edmonton Mall, it's the biggest shopping centre in the world, and there's lots of entertainment. It's awesome, it will take you 2-3 days and nites to visit all the shops. http://www.westedmontonmall.com/about/default.asp
