August 13, 2007 at 2:42 PMdaryl, We don't use the expression 下雨/xia4 yu3 to mean 'shower'. But there is a character 浴/yu4, which means shower. But it is hardly used in daily speech to mean 'take a shower'. However, it makes up the word 浴室/yu4 shi4, which means an old fashioned public shower place.
