Great word! "小兒科" means pediatrics, but it's also used to mean 'juvenile' and 'childish'. Good word to use if you want to tell someone to grow up. 别那么小儿科。

February 9, 2009 at 5:51 AMA simple way to distinguish 外科 and 内科 is whether it involves surgical procedures or not. 外科 generally does and 内科 doesn't. But I used to be very confused by it since surgery is doing things inside one's body, and I thought it should be 内科。

搞笑 is an adjective and an intransitive verb, so it can't take a direct objective. You can't say 你搞笑我。In fact, 搞笑 is rarely used as a verb. In order to express what you mean, you can use 开玩笑/kai1 wan2 xiao4, which means to kid, pull one's legs. It can also be used to describe something ridiculous. You can say 你开玩笑/are you kidding me？
