July 7, 2009 at 2:01 AMTo add a few high frequency words to Pete's list, there are also 好看/hao3 kan4/'good for looking at', i.e. pleasing to the eye，好玩/hao3 wan2/'good for playing' meaning fun, 好笑/hao3 xiao4/good for laughs, i.e. funny，好用/hao3 yong4/'good for using', i.e. user-friendly.

No worries. A series on pregnancy might get a bit tedious for some users. We do have a ton of lessons covering a large variety of topics you are interested in. For easy access, you can go to 'lesson' page, go to 'channels' or 'sets'. I am sure you will find a ton of interesting things there.

“山顶”， “顶好”呼应得很好。不过，“顶好”后面不能直接跟名词，要加“的”，“顶好的酒”。不过老实说，我们不会太注重这种对应，因为只是日常语言，不是书面。所以就算这样用，可能也会被忽略。不过，我还是佩服你的语言能力。对细节这么注意。

Before giving an example sentence, I think it's helpful to explain typical behaviours of 撒娇. In a nutshell, it involves act,talk and whine in a sweet and cute fashion (in order to get the person say yes to your demands or dote on you.) For example, 孩子一撒娇，父母就什么都答应了./As soon as the kid 撒娇，parents cave in to their demands.

I meant 'I feel fortunate that I don't hate anyone.' 我没有恨的人 means 'there is no one that I hate.' I feel 'blessed' because hatred is not a pleasant sentiment and that no one has done anything to hurt me and lead me to hate them.

这个说法挺直接的，不婉转。我觉得中文里关于性没有什么很委婉的说法。可能是我们很不好意思说这个话题，所以任何说法，只要说出来都不觉得委婉。也有人用“那个”来表示性关系，但是我觉得这反而很奇怪，as if sex was embarrassing.
