Thanks for your contribution, Changye. Took me a while to go through the Chinese. ;) Here is some crucial vocab from your post that I did not find in my utterly lame dictionaries: 星际旅行 Star Trek 曲速 Warp 企业号 Enterprise 邦宪法级 Federation class Regarding the calculation: They changed the calculation? Really? But the Voyager's trip home would fit with your initial calculation. 5 years --> 5,000 light years 50 years --> 50,000 light years If I remember correctly, te estimated time for the Voyager to travel home (half way through the galaxy) was 60 years - including some breaks (e.g. to fight some Borg etc.). That would fit perfectly. [One needs to leave out the movies, a few of those are pretty messed up continuous-wise] But that is not backed with sources and because I am not a Trekkie it might all be wrong ;)

But maybe we are just turning this into some variant of a rorschach test? rorschach test = 墨迹测验 (mòjīcèyàn) Still waiting for our photoshop artists.

Sorry, to take the fun out. But that is indeed the front side. The poor lady in the picture is bending perfectly natural. For somebody who feels a bit nauseated and cannot hold it very long...她只想吐而已. No wonder considering that she drinks 鸡尾酒 instead of some healthy 白酒 or 啤酒.

One small suggestion: I understand that the recordings are emotionally charged, but for a non-native speaker grasping the details under a cover of giggles can be challenging at times....

Thank you! This pattern was definately new to me. 2 Questions: Is it used both in a colloquial and a formal setting? Both in spoken and in written Chinese? BTW: 准备 for future tense might be a nice QW with tons of examples from the domain of wedding preparations. :)))))

我预测中国贸易效率越告还价的空间越小.

I am not a cyborg. Although I sometimes secretely wish I had all those online Chinese tools implanted into my brain. Positive about a lesson on cyborgs.
