@bodawei, both of them are correct, but your version is much better, "脱咖啡因的",and I used to say "不含咖啡因”, bùhán kāfēiyīn

More example, Non-Fat Milk Powder, 脱脂奶粉, tuōzhǐ nǎi fěn

@ashman, it depends. But it's not ok to walk your friends all the way home.(It's too much. But your case is a different one, I think maybe the couple just don't want you to get lost)

I never see my intimate friends off. They visit my house too often. But my parents send every visitors off to the parking lot even sometimes the bus stop. They are very traditional Chinese people, just too warm-heated.
