Sometimes it's difficult to tell it's a boy or a girl in a baby cart! "Oh, xiǎomèimèi zhēn piàoliang” (小妹妹真漂亮),little pretty girl! The mother will smile at me and say: "tā shì nánháir”, it's a boy~~~" How embarrassing!

@baiwenkai, the great writers are Jenny and Jiaojie, hehe!

This 绿帽子 can be dated back to Tang Dynasty, it was said that an officer named 李封 started to use this kind of punishment "绿帽". Whoever in the army broke the rule, and would be punished by wrapping a green headscarf.

于是女人红杏出墙,自家的男人便戴起了绿帽,所谓红花还得绿叶配,一红一绿交相辉映,真乃“红杏枝头春意闹”也!In Yuan Dynasty, the government established a law that all the men(husbands of prostitutes) in prostitution should wear a green headscarf. From that on, "绿帽子" is used to satirize man whose wife is cheating on him or has a certain relationship with other man.

@humanitad, "高级" has different meanings, it's not a country-ish word, though sometimes the context of the conversation (maybe the person involved) may be a little bit country-ish.

"高级" high in rank/grade/quality | Zhè shì ∼ yān. These are top-class cigarettes.

@kuaizihaizi, exactly, it's a common saying, you can also say "怎么搞的", to say that you don't know what is going on or how something is messed up!
