I've just added some vocab relevant to elections and politics to my lists in addition to the existing healthcare/psychology and computer software

interestingly, there is now a Jizhou_series tag (Topics), but not all lessons have been retagged, it only returns the last 3 episodes.

wuning, I guess I'm missing the message from Henning, but regarding reverse dictionaries, both Wenlin and better still Pleco do this - not online though. Wenlin has a facility to list all compounds containing a particular character, while Pleco has wildcard pattern-matching, you can look for compounds containing a character in any position

it's true, definitions are sometimes odd, in this lesson for instance, 滑雪场 (huáxuěchǎng) ski hill => ski(ing) slope. question to CPod, 怎么说 ski resort, 滑雪度假村 (huáxuě dùjiàcūn) ?

HannahIm, 你的词语表有两个印刷错误,亦即 : 佩服 pie4 fu2 => pèifu 几乎 ji1 hui1 => jīhū

it looks like the html version of the dialogue is a little messed up, reduplication, subtitles out-of-synch...

aert, I found 信号噪声比 xīnhào zàoshēng bǐ or 信噪比 xīnzàobǐ for signal/noise ratio. Wenlin translates 咝咝声 (sīsīshēng) as a hissing sound, where 咝 (sī) is a whistle, good example of a radical+phonetic combination, 口 as most onomatopoeias 象声 (xiàngshēng) and 丝 for pronunciation, same tone (声调 shēngdiào) in this case.

under m.chinesepod.com, this lesson is listed as Newbie. question, I understand that 拨 is (dial) used for phone numbers but since all phones are keypad / frequency controlled, is 按 not used for individual key preess?
