They both mean "to wear". chuān for clothes and trousers; dài for hats and glasses. Not sure about shoes, gloves, belts, jewellery. Maybe someone can make a list.(please)

I think that in this case, “know” is 认识. 我认识一位女人.
知道 would be used for “know of”, as in 我知道 Julius Caesar 了.

there are lots of fonts to be found on the web. Try
http://cooltext.com/Fonts-Unicode+Chinese.
Quite often these fonts only have the commonest characters.

October 6, 2009 at 6:17 PMIn the dialogue text, 不 in 远不远 is written as neutral tone. Shouldn't it be bù (John also says it's 4th tone)? I thought it was neutral only in set phrases such as 对不起.

Sorry, it seems that Word 2007 menus are completely different from earlier versions. Word 2003 also has the option ‘Top and Bottom' i.e. between the lines.
