February 18, 2009 at 7:01 AMThe height of the uterus is also known as fundal height in medical term. It measures from the top of your pubic bone (known as symphisis pubis) to the top of your palpable uterus.
Believe it or not, the gestational period ( duration of your pregnancy) correspond to the fundal height in centimetres. That's why fundal height is important as part of antenatal check up
Eg; If the fundal height is 20cm, it means 20weeks pregnant。If it is 24cm，then it means 24weeks pregnant and so on

February 18, 2009 at 4:14 AMAnybody knows how to calculate the expected date of delivery (EDD). Here is the formula:
e.g Last menstrual period(LMP) ----- 7.11.2008
Go back 3 months ------7.8.2008
Add a year ------7.8.2009
Add 7 days------14.8.2009=EDD
Or LMP + 40 weeks= EDD
