Oh, when it comes to the different taste of look, I think吕燕lv3yan4 is the a very good example. She is very famous in Paris. She became a super model there. http://chinaleasing.cn/zwmingmo/uploadfile/200708/20070827101334655.jpg http://image.baidu.com/i?tn=baiduimage&ct=201326592&lm=-1&cl=2&word=%C2%C0%D1%E0&t=3&rn=21&pn=0

You guys are really funny , especially when talking about foreigner's chinese girlfriend. John's wife is so cute and I did really laughed out loudly when I heard that "And now my boyfirend is a foreigner, i guess that means i am ugly".:-) I can understand what dave meant when he said the look. I think he wants to mention the different esthetic points of view.中西方的审美观不同。^_^ Oh, about the limerick, I can not catch up all those words. What's the whole limerick?

bazza and auntie68 Let me give you some examples. 字典上说"run"是表示跑步的意思。 字典上说"run"是一个动词。 If you want to use “根据”,you can say 根据字典,我们可以知道"run"是表示跑步的意思,是一个动词。 Here 根据means "according to".

Hi guys, I just backed from outside. It has been a long day. I am glad that you guys like the poem. 清明qing1ming2 清明时节雨纷纷qing1ming2 shi2jie2 yu3 fen1fen1 路上行人欲断魂lu4shang4 xing2ren2 yu4 duan4hun2 借问酒家何处有jie4wen4 jiu3jia1 he2chu4 you3 牧童遥指杏花村mu4tong2 yao2zhi3 xing4hua1 cun1 alwingate, our kind and wise auntie68 write the correct meaning of that poem. auntie68 and obitoddkenobi, yes, once there were some bad person framed our dearest late premier 周恩来. And that was a real hard time and tension. I know this history from a TV program that help people to learn the history and memorize our great leader. I did not post something about this history on my post about anniversary of 周恩来before since i am afraid that i can not explain it very well and make myself understand. Thank you obitoddkenobi, i agree with auntie68, it touched me deeply again. Bazza, we never say清明节快乐. It it a special traditional chinese festival that people memorize their late family members and some great people who had sacrificed themselves for the country. Most school here will organize students to go to the heroe's memorial/memorial mound烈士墓lie4shi4mu4 to do some sweeping and memorial on Tomb Sweeping Day.

Hi guys, I just taught my student about Tomb Sweeping Day two days before and we recited a very famous traditional chinese poem together. 清明 ——杜牧(唐) 清明时节雨纷纷,路上行人欲断魂; 借问酒家何处有,牧童遥指杏花村。 This poem was wrote by Du Mu who is a famous poet from Tang Dynasty. It expressed people's memorial for their late family members. Each year, when it comes to 清明节Tomb Sweeping day, it is always raining here and reminds me about the poem above.
