I like how the military vocab was given at the beginning so we had a reference point when listening.

I, too, missed a few things.  For example, David says he is going to share with us a  非常有??的事儿。

Thanks, Calkins, for mentioning 有趣.  I couldn't pick that up either.

I think it is great listening practice even if words are spoken more quickly than we're used to. Best way to learn!

Hey, it was great seeing David after hearing his voice on so many 'Dear Amber' episodes!

Wow, Cpod, you outdid yourself again!!  This is awesome!  I can't wait to see more!

I have one question.  I seem to recall you did a QW on the 还是 but I can't seem to find it now.

“。。。可是还是没有狼。。。" - 这个“还是”是什么意思?用法有点儿混淆。??? I get the overall meaning of the sentence but just can't quite grasp the usage of 还是.

Nice pick on the music, John!

The little guy by the 鸡蛋真可爱.

This may be a crazy suggestion, but would it be possible to do a video to show us techie stuff?  For example, I put my iphone into chinese but I have to look up almost all the characters to figure out what is what. Would be kind of neat to navigate a computer or gadget to see what commands are what.  Just a thought. Actually, a PDF will all those translations would be better, I think.

This reminds me, I meant to mention this before.  I think a great Q.W. series would be V不到, V不见,V不着, V不了, etc.

auntie68, that is  so interesting!  Thanks for sharing.

This is maybe a good place to ask a question I've been scratching my head over for a couple of weeks.  I have a new chinese teacher (online w/ skype) who always refers to herself in the 3rd person with her English name.  She's probably a few years younger than me.  Is this typical?  It seems a little qi3guai4 to me.  She's very nice but I don't know if I dare ask her why she doesn't just use wo3.

I can imagine these words being spoken in any country, by any person, in any military setting.  Thanks for the lesson.  The other day I was trying to tell a story for my chinese homework (stone soup) and didn't know what word to use for soldier. Now I know!
