"Get off" seems to mean, "What pleasure does it give you?" This puts a malicious connotation to the sentence.

Just how much money does Lao Wang want to walk away? This could prove an interesting negotiation.

When I was living in Taiwan I hardly ever heard 再见. Instead they used 8181 bai yi bai yi, just like the English bye bye. Consequently I seriously have to think to say zai jian.

Dear Pete, Am I right in understanding that a Chinese poem must have the same number of tones for every line and that the endings (or beginnings) don't need to rhyme; also the metre is realized from the tone repetition on each line? Am I also right in understanding the motive behind the poem is some great truth, feeling, emotion, or some feature which is common to community, national or personal life?

Dear bababardwan, I like your Hanzi. A flick of the mouse and I don't have to think too hard. Great!

Dear Amber, I enjoyed your effervescent personality and presentation. I like happy people. I will miss your contribution to Chinese Pod. I particularly liked  seeing you in the video where you had your hair done, which showed your sense of humour. All the best for the future.白文凯

Thanks for the transcript John. I got most of the dialogue, but you clarified the missing bits. Thank you to Connie also whose diction is very clear, no heavy accents. 白文凯
