haha, yeah, even as I was typing it I was chuckling to myself that even though penguins regularly dive into ice cold water [and so maybe it was comparing those taking the challenge to penguins], I thought this has to be wrong and laughable, but of course that didn't stop me, hehe. I did think of both 前 and 时间 but couldn't work out what the second character was as it sounded like dao to me. Yeah, the old speed clipped thing..hard to fully pickup. As always you've got great ears and super helpful. Thanks toianw :)

...I'm particularly wondering about “更紧一波”...if that was what was said or if it was something else?

kamillo, just my two fen but I would have thought this was just a simple reduplication of a verb that is commonly found in Chinese. Just like 看看，听听，etc. I'm not sure if there's a restriction on this, though I suspect it's much more common and natural with some words as opposed to others [but I'd be interested in comment on how to know if it's natural or not]. Somehow it sounds to me like 藏 is a perfect word for reduplication. fwiw, google has 370,000 hits for 藏藏 so it seems common enough.
