Chris,

I'm trying to help you in return, but not sure exactly where the problem is as I'm not a techie. You probably already know this, but when I have error messages I don't understand ,I usually copy and paste them into google which usually leads to some techie type forum where someone else has had the same problem and some smart techie has come up with the solution. There are some entries under this error, but I'm not sure which will be the most helpful.HTH.

auntie

I'm guessing that your last entry is Klingon for "to be or not to be "?

light487,

By now you've probably discovered the answer to your question a couple of days ago about asking what's in the buns, but in case you haven't ,it was the final question in the expansion section:

这个小笼包什么馅儿
(What kind of filling is in these steamed dumplings?)

Thanks heaps for your help Chris.Very clear instructions. Both when I saved to disc and also when I tried the other way of just directly opening it,by default it tried to use a program called xcel editor and open in safari. However I made it open in xcel and it worked fine ,so thanks again.I really must explore this website more to make the best use of it.

Chris,

May I ask where the excel extraction tool is in the vocab section and if possible ,somewhere that then explains how to use it? Thanks.

I really enjoyed this podcast.I like that it examines expressions like this in detail.I like that CPod gives so many ways to explore the language.I appreciated JP's comment about not liking the stinky tofu { I think that's what you were referring to right ?] but enjoyed the cultural experience.I can relate to that.Do Chinese people use the expression "never say never" ?. Do the say " cónglái bù shuō cónglái bù" ?

sebire,

ps. re:"I didn't understand why they were in such a rush".Yeah.I enjoy jogging myself as well as bushwalking, but I would have thought the idea in going to such a famously beautiful and scenic place as Huangshan was to take in all the sights etc on the way up [and not just at the top] ,which you can't really appreciate if you're watching your step while running.Perhaps some should get some balance by reading "the tao of pooh",though, being a western interpretation,I'm not sure how this book is looked on by Chinese.

sebire,

Regarding the Aussies;that sounds about right.Àodàlìyà  jiàyóu ! Mind you, while I know quite a few Aussies who have run marathons,I haven't met any Aussies [let alone over 50 ] who have run 212km in 24 hours as has pchenery from Canada! Check out his post on the Elementary lesson on the Olympic marathon.
