Whoa! That's huge.Cheesy or not,I think there were some pretty good lines in this dialogue. Some important sentiments there.Good luck mate.

January 10, 2009 at 5:27 AM"Parting is such sweet sorrow,
That I shall say good night till it be morrow"
I feel the same way as obitoddkenobi;I feel like I've lost a dear friend [reminds me of a line from this song] I've never had the fortune to meet.Such are these strange digital times.
Amber, you have the Midas touch.I've listened to every one of your DA shows and they're all gold.I'm sure therefore that you will make a great success of whatever you do.You have a winning personality that will grace whatever employment is lucky enough to have you.I wish you every happiness.

January 9, 2009 at 10:48 AMJenny,
Regarding your New Years Resolution, this song popped to mind here.
Chanelle77,
I was going to ask exactly the same question.I'll be interested in the replies.I also wonder if there are any cultures where it is commonplace.
我喜欢这堂课;keep the cheese coming John and Jenny.
Classic cliche stuff, but it's still good and something I think most people can relate to.
I think when one comes to the realisation that:
我不能想象生命里没有你,then the decision to marry becomes that much clearer.
I think the other big question in life will be :
honey,is this Chinese New Year going to be a lucky one to have a baby ?

January 8, 2009 at 2:30 AMUnless I was blind or demented, can't see much use in being songed out...but if they wanna help put my shoes back on....that would be a useful service. hehe
..but seriously,I wouldn't allow the latter at all,and it is a very nice gesture who's thoughtful intentions are not lost on me.
I don't find the literal breakdowns strange. It helps me understand exactly where the word or phrase has come from and it is not much of a leap at all to the intended meaning.

January 5, 2009 at 1:58 PMMust say I cringed at the sweetheart comment too.Sorry, but I'm exactly on your wavelength again Calkins.I think all women deserve respect no matter whether you agree with their opinions or not.

January 5, 2009 at 4:00 AMMatt,
Has being in China so long made you forget Brisbane is not a posh place [or is it now more related to your elevated status ?]? "Brisbanite" ,while correct, sounds so much more posh than the common "Brisso",hehe.
