I was only thinking the other day how I should look into this 得。Well explained.I like the full structure and then the shortened versions.Also nice to have a few more adjectives.Using 好 all the time feels a bit lame.

I was interested in the example:

我跳舞跳得很好。

..as ,while it sounded right and now knowing the stucture of these sentences it may have been how I now intuitively constructed it,I thought the whole word 跳舞 was the verb to dance.In this case is it 跳 is the verb and 舞 the noun part? I suppose it's just a matter of getting used to the usage of these verbs?

btw What's the deal with the title of this lesson on the Me page ..."Any" ?

Well I haven't verified the ingredients,but I think green tea icecream is pretty much what it sounds like.Green tea flavoured icecream.I recently had a green tea crushed ice drink which I presume had used grean tea icecream as it was like an icey milkshake and it tasted just like green tea.Interesting and I thought it tasted a lot nicer than it sounded and quite enjoyed it.

Surely the mum can't leave the kid hanging at that 节骨眼儿 [critical juncture].How will she be able to study or sleep till she knows the northern regions have been secured and peace restored? 我觉得这是非常不利为女儿的考试。[I think this is extremely detrimental for the daughters exam ].

The picture for this lesson is certainly a thought provoking one,with the girl opting to passively watch the larger than life cat,rather than interact with the almost identical live one right beside her.The old picture paints a thousand words [or is it replacing a thousand words?]

thanks.But I thought the original question was how to say "I work with him".Am I missing something here? With the word 跟,I thought there was an implication of following someone/working for them as Sebire [and from memory the lesson] pointed out...not being on an even par with them.

In my limited experience I noted that so many of the taxi drivers chewed betel nuts,a risk factor for oral cancer,so unfortunately it doesn't seem implausible that one could strike one with a resulting speech impediment [though in your guys case of course there are many other possible causes].I remember with fondness the friendliness of the gesture when one driver offered me some of his betel nut.The red teeth and spittoon didn't greatly appeal to me though.He didn't seem offended when I politely declined and he remained in high spirits.Yep,chatting to taxi drivers remain among my fondest memories of my trip to Taiwan,but I can't top that story mate. :)

That's hilarious,perhaps more so 'cos I know I shouldn't laugh.I can really see it happening though.Should have been in a Seinfeld or Pink Panther episode.Perhaps you could have tried to smooth things over by encouraging a bit of 合唱 ing a tune like 朋友。I lot of lispers have made great singers,so he may have been in his element then [...and given him some face...or at least if your singing is anywhere near as bad as mine,he may have then at least had something to laugh at...]   哈哈。

Trouble with Tzetze [also spelt Tsetse] fly is that it's a less commonly used word and its pronunciation is not uniform and some people pronounce it more like "tet see".
