I've been a bit sleep deprived partly due to watching the Socceroos. Now I'm more with it I'm sure I have seen that before but not for a while. Couldn't tell you if I've seen it outside of US sports. It was a pretty impressive pile. Rugby guys would think nothing of it but I thought it might be a bit much for the soccer guys at the bottom of that pile.

I like those shots we're they've got their backs to the goal and they shoot it into the goal by kicking it over their own head. Not seen any spectacular ones like that this time. Also bend it like Beckham goals. I heard a discussion recently complaining about the new ball used in this world cup and how it should never have been approved by fifa. It was all about coefficient of friction, drag ,spin ...all that stuff that was affecting it's flight in the air and making it much harder to bend.

thanks tal, I find that really useful seeing where else the characters turn up,even better when you make the connection with other words you already know like 传统 because not only does it make the connection but also is a reminder to play closer attention to how the character is written

One thing I really liked about the dialogue was the fact that the wife made an error. As a struggling learner trying to follow a conversation I think I would generally be working under the assumption that anything that either I couldn't quite follow or didn't seem to quite make sense would be due to my lack of understanding of the grammar or that I'd lost something in translation. I think it's an important reminder of another possibility of what could be going on in a dialogue.Furthermore ,spotting such an error would be a good sign one was getting on top of the language and holding one's ground so to speak.
