I tell you, there'll be something wrong with me if I haven't nailed all the words in this dialogue as I've enjoyed it so much this is one dialogue that I just want to listen to over and over. Edutainment [zai zhongwen zenme shuo?] par excellence. Even the song I want to learn.

July 13, 2010 at 3:38 AMThanks heaps John for pointing that out..the list 啊..yeah,we had that in a recent lesson I recall. This time it had a whole different vibe and emotion behind it and so I didn't think back to that other lesson. I remember the other time the 啊 was almost giving mental space to think of the other items in the list. This time while the structures the same and it's kinda being used to list I guess , I don't think she's using it for mental space. It seems like more for emphasis...sort of a mocking I guess. Like your so called ai a qing a . Anyhow, love the way it was used here. How expressive and so apt for the situation.

July 13, 2010 at 3:33 AMhehe, I know what you mean. It's been such a good series and like all good works of art ,the ending leaves you hungry for more. Parting is such sweet sorrow and all that. Yeah, you kind of want to hear what else lulu has to say, but I still think that sometimes brevity says it all and she summed it up in one word. I actually thought that was magic. She had one word left for him and that was it...he got the full message from that. So while I too was hungry for more I really loved that ending. All I could think with lulu's lines was ...jiayou lulu !!
