Great article. Thanks mate. I love pidgin and hadn't come across the Chinese Pidgin English before. I'd love to see more examples.
I guess there's no English Pidgin Chinese [at least officially, hehe] ?

at 2m 33s I think it's:
表示强调这当中那个词
强调...emphasize
这....this, 当中....among....in other words the word in the midst of this sentence
6m02s 这里指得是她的态度很随便也没有想太多
态度。。。attitude
not sure about the 得 here...you're better at grammar than me...maybe it should be 的?
9m35s 这个也是很常见的一个结构“只要”什么什么“就”
常见...commonly seen
结构...structure...referring to grammatical structure

January 30, 2011 at 4:01 AM"a name which a teacher or friend gave you) only to be met with giggles"
..I can understand a Chinese friend giving an amusing name as a joke [or an unwitting choice by a fellow learner], but I can only assume in those cases where the teacher gave it, there was some oversight..some connection not made?
I'd love to hear some examples of these tragic mistakes.
