..really? I just don't go for that kanfa at all. I'll have to remain unpopular then...perhaps they'll buy I'm a poor poorly bred convict, and take some pity? Anyhow, I'm not touchin' no fags. Reminds me of an old anti-smoking campaign from about 25 years ago. I can't find the ad now, but it was an adaptation of Jacko's song here:

sung by him as well. I know the words go very much against the Chinese social outlook...it's all about the common good, harmony, and not about the individual [a more western thing], but still, some things I'll draw the line on. Anyhow, the adaptation for the ad was something like:

...Ana, I think that would be a fine plan. The supplementary vocab tends to be a little more advanced, a little less common in general I think, and besides it will all appear in later lessons..the very nature of language means this stuff all pops up again in other places so you won't be missing out on anything by skipping that.

June 18, 2011 at 3:44 AMhow many occasions?..[and when, where and why?] and when you say you didn't inhale, do you just mean you didn't draw the smoke into the depths of your precious lungs, or did it not even get drawn into your mouth, in which case how did you get the tip of the cigarette to light up and make it look like you're smoking, or did they not pay that much attention?
