...if he's of the caliber of Inspector Gadget, he'd crack out a gas mask and something to jimmy the door jamb

....maybe even divert the source of CO down the loudspeaker to heimao

...I'd like to know the set up of this CO source. He may be able to turn that off or divert or block it. Could he use the loudspeaker to block it's entry?

..more simply he could fake his death on video and hope heimao would come to investigate.

or he could just get out of line of the video cam and stay silent and make heimao think he'd escaped.

or maybe he can turn the camera away and then adjust the juguangdeng to make it look like light was coming in from the door ...once again simulating escape

I think clearly Litanzhangs plan will be to cryptically alert xiaoyou of the bombs whereabouts deng deng without letting heimao twig to what is being divulged. So what will he say is the key question? Will it be something that both heimao and xiaoyou have an equal chance of cottoning on to and thus a test of who is smarter, or will it involve some private knowledge/understanding that will test xiaoyou's knowledge/recollection of all things associated with litanzhang [some knowledge they have in common..perhaps related to a shared experience or convo they had] that heimao is not prviy to? Of course being the hero he is, he is thinking of others safety first and not his own perilous situation. For his own part, how can he escape? [ he could of course also cryptically alert xiaoyou of his predicament, but I'd prefer to think he'll remain the hero and use his own wits to extract himself from the jaws of death]. I would have to think it would involve a ruse taking advantage of the fact that he is being watched on videocamera presumably from a room nearby. Could he turn the video camera away for a bit, and then direct the juguangdeng at it [to simulate the light emitted by an explosion] and somehow use the loud speaker to simulate an explosion sound [though this would depend on the setup of the loudspeaker as currently it's obviously being operated by heimao...is there a way he can get control of it?] or perhaps he could use his phone....google explosion sound if it's a smartphone and play that to the video recorder at the same time as putting the juguangdeng on it. Or perhaps just hitting the mic on the videorecorder will make a convincing enough explosion sound. He'd then have to pull the plug on the video cam as an explosion would have destroyed it. Hopefully the, in a curiosity killed the cat way, heimao would have to come in to investigate...and litanzhang would be ready to pounce...

I must say, I love the 气氛 that was created by the description of the scene in this one. Being locked in the dark moist room with the juguangdeng on him and being faintly to make out the loud speaker and video camera. Every sense was confronted with something designed to put him right where heimao wanted him. Fabulous. The altered voice was superb also, hehe.
