Oh darn, I guessed Temple of Doom as well because Ford spoke Mandarin in it; the write-up was a little misleading. Shucks!

I think I know this one. I think I heard the name of the main character in the first portion of the clip : ) But, there are a few films that are possible...

Terrific N&F ! I happen to like the intro, taipan. It's spunky. And, it's so nice to hear Yves Goulnik. Ken speaks for all of us who appreciate his language insight and contribution to the community. Great job, Yves, explaining the Practice Plan and it's utility. It's so nice to "meet" poddies in these CPod Extra podcasts.

sputnik/goulniky Thanks for the pix. Shanghai sure seems like a bustling city, an odd mix of the old and the futuristic. The "Shanghai ancien" photos remind me of the rural city of Taiwan where I was born. The glass behemoths you captured in "Shanghai nouveau" remind me of New York City. Who is that gal with Jenny?

@pulosm Regarding shen2 v. shen3, I've always pronounced 什么事 as shen3 not shen2meshi4. The dialogue also sounds like shen3 even though the lesson pdf shows it as second tone. Perhaps the acad team can clarify. Perhaps a local variation.
