As a male, could I call a close female friend 小李姐?Or is this reserved just for girl-on-girl situations?

As I practised saying 节骨眼儿 my girlfriend commented "You sound like a pirate."

辐射 fùshè (radiation) is another interesting use of 射. Essential vocab if you're interested in pregnancy in China, too! Got to watch out for that fax machine radiation...

遗传 yíchuán (hereditary) - another nice example of passing something on, although a bit more complex than a ball.

We have it England for the same reason as in Australia, never heard of 'cakage' before but I like the word.

I remember my Chinese colleagues taking crates of the stuff to a big, reasonably fancy hot pot restaurant and no one batting an eyelid, even though they were definitely serving their own too.

我记得学习A-level生物学的时候我们得学上帝创造人的故事!这不是坏事吗? 老师很不高兴但他被政府管手管脚的。

我的学校也叫‘达尔文学校’!
