Does anyone know if iced coffees are as popular in China as they are in Vietnam? In Vietnam they can be found everywhere. Isn't it the same in China?

Is 这里不是有厕所吗? zhèli bú shì yǒu cè suǒ ma? and 这里没有厕所吗? zhèli méiyǒu cè suǒ ma? the same? I've also heard that the Shanghainese term "ou li dou", sounding like "oh little", is used for and by children to mean 拉把把 lā bǎ ba. Sorry, I don't know the characters or the tone marks used in Shanghainese.

Sunmun, Isn't 2.5% -------------九点七五折 (9.75)? How can it be "2.5% -----------七点五折 (7.5)"?

Thanks for the link Bazza. That was hilarious. Pretty much summed it up for me. Was that a bottle of soybean milk?

Just wondering, Ken. How do you say "language rapist" in Mandarin? Unless of course your saving it for a future podcast. Oh, the suspense. I definitely know what you mean by having to get out there and being more forceful about speaking Mandarin. This however, causes many embarrassing moments, for me at least. I believe the sacrifice is worth it. A little self humiliation can go a long way. Sometimes it's a little hard to bear. Like when someone in a restaurant at a nearby table hears you speaking. Then that person says something like "I hate when people don't know how to use the word correctly." As if they were supposed to be listening to me talking with my friend anyways. I really wish they would correct me, instead of making comments like that. PS: I miss the Saturday Show. Peace out

How do you say "diet coke" in Chinese? Or how do you say diet anything in Chinese? How do use the word diet as a noun? As in, "What diet are you on?" I not sure how you can use the word "节食" in this sentence unless you add something like the word "plan 计划" to it.
