Thanx a lot Connie, will save this one in Skritter. Electric-cut-scissors, a so typical chinese construction :-)

I doubt I'll ever need hair saloon vocabulary since have one of those machines to cut hair one's own hair very short... how are these machines called in chinese ? 头发裁机 or something like this ? :)

by the way, I don't know where you guys are from, but youku works fine in Germany and even Portugal, the second which is under a shameful economic collapse.

Mark... most people have decent internet these days. I use mostly the iPhone and a tablet, but for this lesson I used a laptop and was ok.

I like the media lessons as they are, even if still a bit too challenging for me. However I can understand your concerns, I start doing the upper-intermediate rather quick and the advanced don´t take that long anymore...

I agree with Jenny regarding her comment to Star Wars, I was kind of shocked when I discovered my girlfriend who is a German-English-Chinese translator had no knowledge of existence of Star Wars, that´s a part of the english language to understand if someone cracks a joke like "I am your father". In chinese too we see media starting language trends, like the "hold zhu".

I think it's also important to understand the fast paced language of these kind of TV Shows, and it's rather difficult to get into this, Chinesepod makes it a lot easier by opening the door with explanation and vocab lists...

可以说,“我刀枪不入学中问” ?  As of, nothing stops me from learning chinese ? :)

This lesson, together with the pics, way too cool.

Oh, by the way. You guys should post the vocab like in the other lessons... would make it easy to import into the vocab list which is accessible on the iphone as flashcards that can be played while I do cardio in the gym :-) Please please...

Kind of off topic but Connie´s "oh [...] awww" after Batman, was likely the cutest and most expressive thing I  heard in Chineseopod during 2012.
