That was really helpful. I've always thought I understood what people were saying when I came across those doubles, but I had no idea the difference in the 'temperature' that it implied. Is the same thing true with adverbs like changchang, ganggang...etc.? Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank you Man2Toe, It took me a long time to look up the words to write that response. I will definitely explore the tools you've suggested. By the way, what is that in your photo/avatar? Yes Connie and Amber, how do you distinguish sexes of animals? And please use kan and kanqilai in your responses to help us learn.
