Hey man, don't be so quick to say you'd never want to talk chemistry. Knowing a little 化学话 would let you appreciate nerd-tastic jokes like this:

氩气进来酒吧了。酒吧侍者说：“氩气，马上给我滚。”

氩气不反应。

:-) Normally I wouldn't expect an almost-pun like this to translate, but in this case I think 反应 works both ways, doesn't it?

有些人更喜欢十分优越一种的幽默。可能比较习惯了老练上流社会，哈哈。你只想给我们支持和鼓励，帮我们改进。

非常难度在外语讲老练的笑话。我啊，想学习一些短句关于误会的笑话吧。

我没能明白他的笑话。

I didn't get his joke.

我把他的话当玩笑。

I took what he said as just kidding around.

Well, we can argue which of us can denigrate our own communication skills the most thoroughly, but to be honest I've never had a very competitive heart and wouldn't have the spirit to play to win. That's a game better not to play when you don't like defeating other people. I know that's an idiosyncratic take on humility (and I've sneakily inserted all kinds of self-praise in it), but there you are.

Wait a minute, did you just call me 10,000 years old? KIDDING! I KID!

Far from it, my intent was to praise and encourage you for making efforts far beyond mine at communicating in Chinese ("怎么跟你沟通" was intended to pretend mock exasperation with you for putting your own skills down When you say such things, how am I supposed to communicate with you? i.e. what am I supposed to say to that?).

So sorry for expressing myself poorly and offending or re-igniting any nightmare fuel from previous controversy.
