What is a cadre? I've never heard this word before.

In the 4th line Expansion sentence, the Pinyin for 决定 shows 'decision' instead of 'juédìng'. The is true of the mouseover definition on the Dialog page, and also the printed version of the Expansion sentences.

Correct. What could be causing the problem is that de is unstressed, zhè is stressed. So de's vowel sound is a little indistinct - zhe has the proper sound. So perhaps you should be using zhè as the model rather than de.

I also found when I was learning the sounds that the same sound often seemed to sound different for different tones. I guess I've gotten used to the language as I don't notice that any more.

One thing I've always noticed is that for some speakers w sounds to me more like a v. But whenever I ask them about this, they insist they a saying w.

In the second Expansion sentence, the Pinyon for 感情 is shown as 'feelings', instead of 'gǎnqíng'.This is the case both in the printable version, and the mouseover definition on the Expansion page.

In the PDF, in the 7th line of the dialog, the Pinyin for 决定 shows 'decision' instead of 'juédìng'. The is also true of the mouseover definition on the Dialog page.

I wouldn't have noticed this unless I was looking for it.

But christmas needs a bit of spicing up. It really is the worst time of the year, having to deal with two different BS stories, and seeing relatives who you wouldn't choose to see under any other circumstances.

Lets put the sex back in christmas.

Why is toilet paper abbreviated in the heading? I've never heard it referred to as TP.

I've played the dialog multiple times, and I don't hear what you are hearing.

Both the dialog file and the online line-by-line dialog sound the same as you describe in the pronunciation guide.

I'm not sure what qualifications you earn at the end of high school in the US. But I wonder how home-schooled students perform in comparison to the rest?

I don't mean one-off cases, I'm interested in a comparison of averages. (It might be interesting that YOU were homeschooled and are now a doctor, but I suspect that this is the exception).

Chinese Pod only started producing PDFs from QW112.

If you check out those early PDFs (1-67) you will find there is nothing in them. CPod stated more than 3 years that they were going to backdate the PDFs, but they haven't done even one.
