Is there a reason CPod won't fix the link to the PDF?

Its been 3 days and 6 different people have complained.

As pushaowen says, 肿 is not used in the dialog. It is used by Dilu in the podcast to help describe the meaning of 发炎.

In the text version of the Expansion sentences, sentence no. 8, the characters show '...一两...', but your Pinyin is '... shí èr ...'.

As it seems you were only able to join the end of someone else's thread instead of starting your own, can I guess that you don't yet have a paid subscription?

The ancient word for Greece was Hellas, so that could explain the là. It would be interesting to find out the Cantonese pronunciation.

There are too many for a single lesson - you would not remember them all. It really is much better to learn them one at a time as you encounter them.

Of course yet other country names were never based on their English names.

For example 德国 (Déguó - Germany) comes from Deutsch. 西班牙 (Xībānyá - Spain) comes from España.

And then they occasionally manage to avoid transliteration by doing a direct translation, ala 冰岛 (Bīngdǎo - Iceland). Actually that is the only one I know which isn't at least partially transliterated. Does anyone know of others?
