December 16, 2013 at 1:19 AMIt seems 'cop' is another word that is used differently in the states. In Australia, when you 'cop' something you receive it (usually with negative connotations). For example, 'I copped a speeding ticket'.
I've never heard it in the opposite sense as in the podcast. If I heard a guy say "I copped a feel", I'd assume he had been inside a Darlinghurst bar (and been on the receiving end).

December 14, 2013 at 2:07 AMIn the intro, I think you mean 'wrap UP the year' - unless that's another Americanism that I'm not aware of.
BTW, I had to look up the meaning of 'neologism'. I wonder - is this a self-referential word?

December 14, 2013 at 12:08 AMConnie, its good to hear you doing the Intermediate and UI lessons this week. You are so easy to listen to. Would I be correct in saying that you haven't done an Intermediate lesson before? I hope you'll be doing some more.
But I'm interested in what has happened to Dilu - no Intermediate or UI lessons for almost a month.
