Baba, You have re-defined "jumping all over the map." And it was so obvious. Isnt that always the case? It is an interesting way to anchor vocab though. cpod should start a riddle series.

yes, of course we still call them "two by fours" and the expression is as common as the boards themselves. The odd thing is that they don't actually measure 2" x 4" but are only 1 1/2" x 3 1/2" (when I was a boy they measured 1 3/4" x 3 3/4"). Like candy bars, they have shrunk over the years. Why the US has not gone metric - don't get me started, but the expression "2x4" has come to mean something quite separate from its dimensional roots. Actually the first known 2x4 dates back to ancient China, during the Chou dynasty in about 500 BC.

Oh, and " Four be Two's", - ridiculous.

Im going to go out on a limb here and assume your interviewer was right. This was just girls playing basketball badly. hehe, who has ever heard of "net ball" anyway. I had to look it up, so I doubt its well known in China. Not even the "rest of China". :-)
