I am aware of one story. No pajamas allowed in the bed! Do most Chinese sleep raw?

I was considered a good uke (practise partner) by the black belts because I resisted hard, fell well, and never gave up when choked. I still have culiflower ears from the groundwork. Judo taught me honor, respect, and how not to get hurt when I fell on the ice. :-)

Changye, I can relate. Fortunately I had a very good breakfall. I remember practising with an expert from Japan. He said - you have very good breakfall. I wll throw you 30 times - and he did.

Changye, do you, or have you ever played Judo? I used to compete as a boy and wanted very badly to learn Japanese. In school they only offered French which really angered me. I did get the chance to meet some high ranking Judoists from Japan. Very impressive.

I think you are correct auntie68. Also I meant to use the term telegram rather than telegraph. ebonics is controversial and years ago it was called jive. It is not readily understandable by english speakers.

from wikipedia Bling-bling (or simply bling) is a hip hop slang term that refers to elaborate jewelry and other accouterments.

I was refering to its origin. Bling Bling has been popularized by music and has somewhat entered the main stream however most of the people I work with would not know what it is. By telegraph I meant compressed or shortened. Chinese is also referred to in this way on this site. Few unnecessary words. I was refering to ebonics from which bling bling originated.

evahui, the term "Bling" or "Bling Bling" was made popular by american rap singers and it refers to the wearing of excessive gold and jewlery. Bling dynasty is a play on words and auntie68 is correct in what is being refered to. Jen is showing her knowledge not only of american culture but ghetto subculture as well. Bling would fall into what we call ebonics. Ebonics is the compressed telegraph like slang used by black youth in the US. I think that was what you were asking. I hope I didnt over-answer your question.

17171, yep, before star trek or outer limits there was Rod Serling. Might make a good lesson, The "twilight zone." One of my favorite shows growing up. RJ
