September 13, 2008 at 4:26 AMTo really appreciate what a mooncake is, you have to hold one. They are very heavy and filled with various things. Some are good, most are terrible.
I have to agree with MrJess. I dont understand why the eyes are a concern. Chinese women are so beautiful, and the eyes are quite nice the way they are. Such an arbitrary thing to change this just because its different in the west. Different, but not better. Same with the nose. As for breasts, God made them all beautiful, size is irrelevant, in fact, shape is often sacraficed for the sake of size, which I think is very sad. To replace God's sculpture with two soccer balls is just a shame. Of course, some surgeons are more skillfull than others.

September 10, 2008 at 10:43 PMMike, I think you are wrong. I for one appreciated it, and if you were to provide transcripts and/or vocab for the intermediate discussions I would appreciate it very much. I think one of the reasons the jump to intermediate is tough is because Jen speaks only in
Chinese. John is helpful of course but its not complete.

September 10, 2008 at 10:04 PMWell said Rockynash. Nice to meet you as well.
And Ken, my vote would be to keep the jingle. I found it a little "different" at first but it grows on you. Its the kind of thing that you love and hate at the same time, but you definitely wont forget it. Its a CPOD trademark now.

September 7, 2008 at 8:53 PMI am having trouble understanding those few that are so negative when it comes to these videos. They are an added tool, not a replacement for what we had before. They are fun, and serve to reinforce vocabulary. Thanks for brightening my day cpod.

September 5, 2008 at 10:35 PMVery entertaining, and a good exercise. I had the hair wash in the chair once. My hair is short so they just massage it dry after rinse. Quite relaxing. Much better than a foot massage. Havent had the nerve to let them cut it yet.

September 1, 2008 at 12:41 PMis 面包车 used for mini vans because they are shaped like a loaf of bread or did it come from the delivery nature of these vehicles. :-) Or perhaps its a mystery. Nice video.

August 31, 2008 at 10:31 PMThanks for reminding me tvan. I usually call her something else. :-) (ex-wife that is). So if you have a 小老婆 , do you say 我小老婆 or 我的小老婆 ?

September 13, 2008 at 5:20 AMAt home its keys wallet phone but when traveling in China its passport, wallet, phone, room card. I do a ritual pat down of all 4 pockets every time I leave my room, or a cab, or any other situation that requires it. So I would add 护照 (hu4 zhao4) and 房卡 (fang2ka3).
