I would rather make friends than enemies. Words I try to live by. Give it a shot.

January 26, 2009 at 4:23 PMJohn,
By the way, I did like having two elementary lessons last week instead of one newbie and one elementary. Surely there are enough newbie lessons on file to get someone started. Perhaps they could be refreshed by occaisionally creating a new one and use the resources to create more elementary lessons. This is just my opinion, but I assume you did this experiment looking for feedback. Maybe some others can comment on their thoughts as well.

Happy Australia day to bababardwan, miantiao, Matt, Light, Chiongzibide and any other Aussies I have missed.
Perhaps you could share a little history about the day and how you celebrate?

January 26, 2009 at 9:50 AMPete,
Im a little sad to see Licha's comment gone. It wasnt that bad and it was his opinion. He is the only voice of unbridled dissent left. I dont want to live in a perfect censored world even if I dont agree with him. Its good to be challenged once in a while. Besides, You got to love someone who hates authority that much. :-)
luobinzhenmei's dark heart poem - also a casulty of censorship. (I kind of liked it) Nice to hear you guys on the show by the way.

January 25, 2009 at 9:24 PMI think the right word would be "auditory". You could say
I guess my gift is in the auditory part of language.
or
I guess my gift is in the audio portion of language.

dont sell yourself short. Some have a gift for the written and others for the spoken.
just to be clear (english lesson) if I understand George correctly he is in his 1st year at the 10 week point. 1 year and 10 weeks would imply 62 weeks. You could say this - in year 1 at 10 weeks or 10 weeks into year one. Or year 1, week 10. To avoid confusion I would just count weeks. I am at week 10 would be sufficient. I hope thats helpful and not annoying. My apologies if it be the latter.
