I hate them only because of my inability to balance while squatting... I can use them if there is something for me to hold onto.

Yeah, I have never seen this either, perhaps it is something found only in tourist cities or something. I live in a smaller city, and it is 'every man for himself' here.

OK folks, I am having a bit of a hard time wrapping my head around the content of this lesson..... So during the election, they chose 5 committee members, so there are six committees... Does this mean that each committee has only one person? If not, then how many classes would send members to the committee? I am guessing that it is one per class, or maybe some type of population based representation... I don't know. The situation is obviously different than what I am accostumed to in the US. I do know what a class monitor is, at least in the college that I teach at. A class monitor is basically a leader for the students, and the representative for the group. I would sometimes talk to the monitor to disperse information to students.

OK, thats all.

Hey guys... I would like to discuss another example (#11 on PDF)... Tell me what you think... In this example, does the speaker mean to imply that, in one instance, they were unable to tell what type of food they are eating, or does the speaker mean to imply that, up to a certain time, they were unable to tell what type of food that they were eating, but after that point, they had developed the skill and they now have the ability (instance verses acquiring experience)? How do we know? can we tell by this expression? is there some rule or mode of thinking I may use to correctly deduce the meaning on the spot?

I think that is all I have for this lesson.

Thanks again, and peace!
