可能是稻梗， 水稻的秸秆。 我曾读过以前秸秆是中国老百姓最常用的燃料， 也中国人喜欢炒菜的原因。 因为用秸秆为燃料， 热度很高， 但是烧完得很快， 所以配料在加热前都必须切成小块或者薄片什么的。

荣幸？ 不敢当。 这个话题跟我的普普通通的工作有关系， 我就高兴。

谢谢回答我的问题。 第三个问题我表示得够清楚。 我的意思是： 伶俐是聪明的意思， 用这种单词起名子不太常见， 对吗？ 一般起名字就是好听， 有内涵的字， 但是两个字在一起一般不应该有意思。 我以前见面过名字叫海洋等等的人， 但是比较少见。 所以， 我觉得， 伶俐这个名字可能有一点太直接的感觉。

谢谢作出这篇课。 我经常去农村， 拜访农产品工厂， 所以学到了一些很有用的词。 

我这两年发现， 中国的政府环保政策不是形同虚设。 很多厂家凭新规定必须盖排水处理厂， 用天然气代替煤炭等等。 控制比较严格， 钻空子的机会越来越少。 

关于课程的语言我还有一些问题：

1。 “踏出新路子”是一个说法， 表示开发新的方法， 对吗？ 很常用吗？ 口语里也能用吗？ 

2。 珍惜菌木的意思是珍惜的菌类和木头吗？

3。 蓝伶俐这名字： 我觉得有一点太直接了……

Thanks Elijah. Actually, I have already done that, at least the listening part A and a glance over the written material. The written part should be no problem at all, I just had a bit of a hard time understanding the listening part.

Well, I guess there is no harm in doing it. So far I went through about 800 of the 2500 words on the vocab list. The ones I did not know I added as audio flashcards to my deck in anki. It took me about 2-3 weeks so far (only have time in the evenings). So, another 6-8 weeks maybe and I am through with it. Some of the new words have already proven useful. I encountered most of them while reading newspapers. So maybe, it is not that obscure but rather a bit more formal, written language? Some others are synonyms for words I already knew, so they don’t disturb me really.

However I noticed that a lot of the words can’t be found in the built-in dictionary of Chinesepod. After finishing the list, I will go back to advanced podcasts as you suggest, which I would have done anyway. Then I will take another practice test. I just really don’t want to go back to any textbooks now...

And hey, I can put the HSK6 on my resume and refer to it as an official proof of my C2 Chinese.

In the end, Chinese people will say „your Chinese is awesome“ when you order a cup of coffee. But my experience is that your non-Chinese boss will also think it is, because he can’t even pronounce the names of most business partners after years of working with them... So, if you are officially C2 and entering a dominantly non-Chinese work environment, funtioning as the major link to China (which is what I always did), noone will ever know that the standard of HSK is maybe a bit blurred.

HSK for job application? 

Thanks for this very interesting podcast. It has quite an impact on me... I have never taken any HSK (total 外行), but I thought about taking an HSK6, just as a reference and objective proof for job applications in the future. However, right now I am happy with my job and I am not intending to enroll in any university in China

I was already in doubt if it was worth the effort, now after reading Elijah’s comments, I have more or less decided to forget about it and rather focus on “real world stuff”, especially content that is fun and interesting to me. This is in line with some other opinions I have read, the two major problem with the HSK are said to be:  

1. Little value outside the academic world (most employers won’t know it) 

2. Vocabulary and content is not very realistic

Is that close to the truth or did I get it wrong? 

As for work, so far I have been tested And these days I do myself test job applicants for their target language ability in the following way: show a sample document taken from an actual work context, have the applicant read it and explain what to do or how to react in that situation. 

So, I guess, preparation for a job interview should be mostly to prepare to talk about the company, the future job, the industry and so on in Chinese and to collect all the relevant vocabulary. 

In the end, even after passing an interview you still have to proof that you can actually use the language successfully. So, getting in there with an HSK6 certificate and then finding out you can’t survive on the job won’t be a sustainable approach. I’d rather have it the other way round...

四个学期！ 一定很努力， 但是以后阅读能力也一定提高了很多。 我没有那么丰富的经验， 也不想笼统地说中国的报刊都没有意思。 可能是因为我的阅读能力还太差了。

我现在喜欢读一些外国媒体的中文版， 比如BBC， 美国之声， 纽约时报， 法广。 最近通过cpod关于北京咳这篇课找到了中国的生命时报。 文章比较短， 对于提高医学的词汇非常有用。

但是， 与您相比， 我对于报刊的知识肯定还差得很远。 您能推荐一些资料吗？

这好像是中国大陆报纸的一个毛病， 我对它们都失望了。高级课程不一定要用媒体内容，以前的对话不错， 最近的采访式的高级课程也挺有意思的。

话题的活，只要是中国人关注的， 我自己就感兴趣， 我觉得，别的poddies也是这样想的。 我认为， 只要通顺的中文，有意思的话题就行了。 最近几个高级课程我都喜欢， 加油！
