The transcript is incorrect. The title of Li Bai's poem should be "qiāng" not "jiāng" according to the hosts, yet it is written as "jiāng."

Oh, thank you. Mind you, clicking on the "text version" link (rather than the PDF link) still yields the original transcript. (I find the text version easier to work with and usually use it in addition to or instead of the PDF.)

is translated as: 

"anniversaries and birthdays"

but it looks like "holidays and anniversaries." Is 节日和纪念日 a set term that is used to refer to anniversaries and birthdays?

is translated as: 

"Is this day marked with a heart your anniversary?"

Would the 些 not indicate several days?

I was under the impression that 与 could have other subtle implications, other than just functioning as "and," such as implying a certain type of relationship between two things, or indicating the recipient of an action. 

Could you go into that, or, link to the appropriate lesson if this is explained elsewhere?

Clearly this is something that could have been addressed in the discussion. Probably it has confused many more people who have not taken the time to comment.

I left out 虽然, 然后, 要不然, as these I learned quite early, are easily found in many contexts, and I have a firm grasp of them. Though I memorized them as complete words, and I couldn't tell you what 然 is doing in them.
