There are two cases in which I heard or interpreted the sounds differently: in my opinion, 拉上 and 升职 would fit better in the context.

It looks to me that 飞广州 follows the pattern of 去北京 or 来上海. Maybe our Indo-European notion of transitive/intransitive is not applicable to Chinese.

In China, they probably mean LCD TV when they say LCD TV. To my knowledge, the same holds for Europe. Maybe ChinesePod mixed up LCD TV and Plasma TV. What about the USA?
