May 3, 2011 at 2:32 AMGreat job, David and Jason! Interesting interview.
I liked how 李总's accent was so clear and easy to understand.

That would be gàn. The verb form of 干 (meaning "to do") is 4th tone. The adjective (meaning "dry") is first tone.

We are redoing some old Newbies, and a few of them are being removed entirely. 0122 is still there, though. It's called What time is it?.
The remake has a new name and a new ID (this one).

刚 does not mean "just, only." There must have been a miscommunication with your teacher.
When preceding a verb phrase, like 开玩笑, it's most natural to express "just" using 只是 (and definitely not 刚):
我只是开玩笑(而已)。
You could also say:
开玩笑而已。
